Q: How long has the home been operating for?

Sam and his wife started caring for the kids in  Sept’2002.  They were living  in a rented house where the children had basically NO space to live and play, it was extremely congested. They were relocated to their current 3 acre site in June’2008.  We have since noticed a massive improvement in the children’s physical and mental health.

Q: How many kids are there living at the home?

There are 72 kids.

Q: What ages are the Children?

Starting from 5 up to 17 years of age.

Q: What are the Children’s backgrounds?

Some children are fully orphaned with no parents and relatives, some have one living parent, but they are in jail, mentally ill or have a serious disease.

Q: What age do the Children leave the home?

From the ages of 18 to 20.

Q: How is the home managed?

The home is managed by Sam and his wife Sneha along with their small team of hired helpers that support them with the many varied jobs that go into caring for 72 kids.  The kidindian Team also help out in running workshops and training for the children and the local community.

Q: Can the Children be adopted out?

Unfortuneately not, the children cannot be adopted as the Government of India does not issue licenses to homes due to many operators abusing this liberty.
