Sam and his wife started caring for the kids in Sept’2002. They were living in a rented house where the children had basically NO space to live and play, it was extremely congested. They were relocated to their current 3 acre site in June’2008. We have since noticed a massive improvement in the children’s physical and mental health.
There are 72 kids.
Starting from 5 up to 17 years of age.
Some children are fully orphaned with no parents and relatives, some have one living parent, but they are in jail, mentally ill or have a serious disease.
From the ages of 18 to 20.
The home is managed by Sam and his wife Sneha along with their small team of hired helpers that support them with the many varied jobs that go into caring for 72 kids. The kidindian Team also help out in running workshops and training for the children and the local community.
Unfortuneately not, the children cannot be adopted as the Government of India does not issue licenses to homes due to many operators abusing this liberty.
